Michael David Barrett's bail was raised from $20,000 to $100,000 after Andrews' lawyer argued that Barrett had probably spent $20k following Erin around the country.

A judge also ruled that Barrett can only use his cell phone to talk -- no texting -- and he's only allowed to call immediate family members. He's also been put on house arrest and electronic monitoring.

Barrett posted the bail and is about to walk out of court.

Andrews' Alleged Peeping Tom Officially Charged

The man who allegedly secretly filmed ESPN reporter Erin Andrews naked in various hotel rooms followed her around the country ... according to federal charging documents obtained by TMZ.

Erin Andrews

In the docs, the feds claim Michael Barrett called 7 hotels in Columbus, Ohio on January 28 and 29 of 2008, trying to find out where she would be staying. The documents officially charge Barrett with 1 count of interstate stalking.

After striking gold with the Columbus Hotel, Barrett got a room next door to her, altered the peephole device and secretly shot video of Andrews.

Barrett then used the Internet to send the video to his email account.

Fast forward to July. He called 14 hotels in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and found where she was staying there. Again, he checked in, altered the peephole device in her room and shot video.

Then again on September 2, Barrett called a hotel, located Andrews' reservation, requested the room next door and on September 4 he altered the peephole and shot video of Andrews naked.

The email he sent the video to -- handsfouryou@yahoo.com. He eventually sent TMZ the video but we did not post it.

The feds say Barrett then posted the videos on a Google video account calling the video, "Erin Andrews Naked Butt."

TMZ received a statement from Barrett's lawyer, saying, "Mr. Barrett would like to express his deep regret for the circumstances that have caused the issuance of the charges against him today. It is his sincere hope that this matter can be resolved as soon as possible."

ESPN Benches Bob Griese for 'Taco' Crack

Can anyone at ESPN keep a job? The network suspended Bob Griese today for a racist remark he made about NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya.

While he was calling Saturday's Minnesota-Ohio State game, Griese made a crack about Montoya saying he was "out having a taco." Montoya is Colombian.

ESPN is yanking Griese off the air for one week, and a rep for the network says Griese "understands the comment was inappropriate."

Yesterday ESPN fired baseball analyst Steve Phillips after news broke of his sex scandal with a production assistant.

Baseball Analyst's Mistress -- Out at ESPN

UPDATE: ESPN is now saying they fired Brooke -- but they haven't given an official cause for termination yet.

The ESPN production assistant who exposed a secret relationship with ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips is officially out of a job at the sports network.

Baseball Analyst's Mistress -- Out at ESPN

A rep from ESPN told the Associated Press that 22-year-old Brooke Hundley "doesn't work at ESPN anymore" --but it was unclear if she quit ... or if she got the chop.

Phillips was fired from his job last night, just a few days after he admitted to having the affair.

A rep for Phillips claims he's entering a treatment facility.

ESPN Sends Steve Phillips Packing

Steve Phillips FiredDavid Letterman he is not -- only a few days after news broke of ESPN analyst Steve Phillips' affair with a 22-year-old production assistant, he's out of a job.

An ESPN spokesperson said Phillips' ability to be an effective analyst was "significantly and irreparably damaged" -- so the sports network decided to give him the old heave-ho.

As we first reported, Steve's hookup Brooke Hundley filed for a restraining order against him one day after she dropped off a letter at his house explaining the affair -- which basically said they were meant to be together.

Hundley withdrew the complaint a few weeks later.

ESPN Analyst's Hookup - Keep Him Away from Me

TMZ has learned Brooke Hundley filed for a restraining order against married ESPN analyst Steve Phillips ... just ONE DAY after she dropped a letter off at his house which basically said they were meant to be together.

Brooke Hundley
In the document -- filed on August 20 in Connecticut -- Brooke claims while at a hotel back in July, Steve "bought me a strong drink and then cornered me ... trying to persuade me to come to his hotel suite to spend the night."

Brooke claims Steve called her hotel room until she agreed to see him, then "after the night he continued to text me on a regular basis with inappropriate things." Brooke says she "tried to get him to stop" but again agreed to meet up with him "a few times after work in the parking lot."

That line is extra interesting, because in the note Brooke left for Steve's wife the day before, she wrote, "I'm not just some random girl he had sex with in parking lots."

Brooke HundleyBrooke also claims Steve tried to ruin her career after word got out that they were sleeping together -- calling her a "slut" and saying he would get her fired if she spilled the beans to his wife.

Hundley withdrew the complaint September 15 -- that same day, she posted this on her Facebook page: "I've seen evil and he wears khaki pants and bright blue polos. Out of court, and back to basketball."

Erin Andrews' Alleged Stalker Has a Date

Erin Andrews' Alleged Stalker Has a DateErin Andrews' alleged stalker will appear in court in Los Angeles next week for a bail hearing, sources tell TMZ ... and we've learned why L.A. is so critical to the case.

The emotional impact of stalking and illegally videotaping someone is an important part of these cases. The ESPN reporter's lawyer, Marshall Grossman, tells TMZ Erin was in L.A. when she first learned someone had videotaped her while she was naked in several hotel rooms.

Grossman says she had "an emotional meltdown" in L.A. and that is the basis for making L.A. the place where Michael Barrett will appear.

The hearing is set for October 30. Of course, we'll be there.

911 Call in ESPN Analyst Case

According to police, Marni Phillips returned to her Connecticut home on August 19 and discovered Brooke Hundley -- an ESPN production assistant who worked with her husband -- dropping off a letter in which she confessed to having an affair with Steve.

In the call, Marni tells the dispatcher "I have a crazy woman who is involved with my husband and she's come to my house to harm me and my children."

Brooke HundleyMarni later told police that Brooke freaked out when she saw Marni, and "got in her car, put it in reverse and smashed the rear end of her vehicle into the stone column ... cut across our grass, avoiding the driveway completely, driving erratically over rocks and mulch beds to maneuver her vehicle down our hill."

Phillips declined to press charges against Hundley -- but released a statement saying he was taking an "extended leave of absence."

Erin Andrews Case Causes Major Hotel Cover-Up

There's a war raging between people and peepholes at the Ramada Conference Center Hotel in Milwaukee -- one of the places where ESPN reporter Erin Andrews was unknowingly filmed naked in her room.

We spoke to a member of the Ramada staff -- who told us ever since the hotel was linked to the Andrews case, housekeeping crews have had to remove all sorts of items taped to multiple peepholes -- from paper to Kleenex ... even Band-Aids.

Andrews' alleged Peeping Tom is currently under house arrest in Chicago -- so the only peephole anyone should really be worried about is the one at his house.

Judge Puts Andrews Suspect on Short Leash

Erin AndrewsThe man accused of secretly videotaping ESPN reporter Erin Andrews is about to be released from his Chicago jail cell after forking over $4,500 in bail money -- but he ain't exactly a free man.

The suspect -- Michael David Barrett -- appeared before a federal judge in Chicago this morning where he was granted his release with the following list of stipulations:

- He will have to wear an electronic monitoring device.
- Curfew enforced from 9pm to 6am.
- He can go to work and doctor's appointments.
- No Internet access for two weeks.

Barrett was ordered to turn in his passport by tomorrow morning, and he's not allowed to leave Northern Illinois.

The judge said he was releasing Barrett because he doesn't have a criminal record and because his family lives in the area.

Barrett will face interstate stalking charges in Los Angeles on October 23rd.

Arrest Made in Erin Andrews Peeping Tom Case

TMZ has learned an arrest has been made in the Erin Andrews Peeping Tom case -- the one in which the ESPN reporter was secretly videotaped walking around naked in various hotel rooms ... and the suspect has been charged with the federal crime of felony stalking.

48-year-old Michael David Barrett was arrested at Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Friday.

According to the FBI, Barrett allegedly stalked Erin "with the intent to harass, to place under surveillance with intent to harass and intimidate, and to cause substantial emotional distress to a person in another state."

The videotapes surfaced in July. At least six clips showed Erin walking around two different hotel rooms in the nude, and were shot with a peephole camera. It was virtually impossible to tell when or where the videos were shot.

Andrews' lawyer, Marshall Grossman from the law firm Bingham & McCutchen, tells TMZ Barrett allegedly contacted hotels in the various venues "where Andrews was working in order to locate her and her room number -- and some of the hotels revealed that information, permitting him to target her." Grossman says Barrett would remove the peepholes from the doors -- or as the complaint states, "hacked off" -- and inserted tiny camera devices to secretly film her.

Someone tried to sell the clips to TMZ, but we refused to buy or air them because they were an obvious invasion of Erin's privacy. The federal complaint notes that the videos were offered for sale to TMZ.com through his email account.

The complaint says Andrews was so upset when the tapes began to circulate elsewhere she was "having trouble breathing and felt sick all of the time." The complaint adds, "She was concerned there might be more video and wanted to vomit just thinking about it."

UPDATE -- Barrett appeared in court today where he was ordered to be returned to California to face charges.
