Corey Haim/Andrew Koenig Connection

In an ironic twist of fate, Corey Haim was fired from a movie in late 2008 because of an alleged drug issue -- a movie that also starred recently deceased actor Andrew Koenig.

Corey Haim/Andrew Koenig

Haim was cast as one of the leads in a movie called "DaZe." Executive producer Miller Uwanawich tells TMZ, "Corey's drug problem became too much of a problem" and he was fired as a result.

According to Miller, Corey would show up for table reads and be "all over the place, definitely showing signs of being on drugs."

Miller says he went to Corey's home a few times to try and help him with the apparent drug problem, but was unsuccessful. A.J. Llamas was recast in Corey's role.

It's also the last movie in which Andrew Koenig -- the "Growing Pains" star who committed suicide last month -- appeared.

Corey Haim -- Demanded 'Clean' Set for Final Film

Corey Haim -- Demanded 'Clean' Set for Final FilmCorey Haim was so committed to winning the battle against his demons that he demanded a completely drug and alcohol-free environment on the set of the movie he was working on when he died.

In the days before Haim's death, Corey was working on a new film called "The Dead Sea" -- and according to one of the movie's producers, Rick Tucker, Haim made it clear that he didn't want temptation anywhere near him.

Tucker tells us that Haim had negotiated his contract to include a provision which required the set to be "clean" during the entire production. Tucker said, everybody affiliated with the movie was supportive of Haim's demand.

With Haim's untimely death, Tucker tells us they have lots of rewriting and reworking to do -- as Haim was one of the main stars of the film.

Corey Haim's Last Movie

TMZ has obtained a clip from Corey Haim's last movie -- that has yet to be released.

Corey Haim's last movie

Haim shot the scene -- from the movie "Decisions" -- last November.

In the movie, Haim plays a corrupt cop who gets involved in the lives of 6 troubled kids.

We spoke with Executive Producer Zenon Kesik, who said, "Corey was a professional and had no sign of any drug abuse at all."

Kesik says he did not require that Corey submit to a drug test, because, "He was straight. He didn't appear to be on any substance whatsoever."

Kesik says the movie is due to be released mid-April.

Oscars Dolphin Flasher Causes Mobile Tidal Wave

The guy who flashed the "Text Dolphin" sign at the Oscars nearly broke the organization he was trying to promote -- after a tidal wave of text messages almost took down the group's mobile server.

It all went down when one of the stars of "The Cove" tried to get some promotion for the TakePart dolphin-saving organization by flashing the sign during the Best Documentary acceptance speech -- it lasted two seconds before they cut away from the sign.

But TMZ has learned those two seconds of exposure triggered so many text messages -- the group's mobile service provider nearly went down.

The group claims they've doubled their membership in the two days following the awards.

Quentin Tarantino Sued Over 'Kill Bill'

Quentin Tarantino Sued Over 'Kill Bill'Quentin Tarantino -- fresh from his Oscar loss -- is now being sued by a man who claims Q.T. ripped off his concept to create "Kill Bill."

In a lawsuit filed today, Dannez Hunter claims in 1999 he submitted a treatment to Miramax about a fictional character named Ren. Short story -- he says eventually Miramax, Harvey Weinstein and Q.T. ripped off his work, including the "concept/character name Ren." He claims Q.T. pilfered Ren witnessing her mother's sadistic murder, the knife through the mother's abdomen, and on and on.

And there's this. Hunter, who says he was from the inner city, applied for a job at Miramax but "was never given a return phone call, as numerous similar situated less qualified Jewish and White people were bestowed job after job after job."

Hunter continues his Jews-run-Hollywood themed lawsuit by alleging he was denied royalties in the "Kill Bill" franchise compared to similarly situated Whites and Jews.

Hunter wants more than a million bucks. Mazel Tov.

Reps for Tarantino had no comment.

Notorious B.I.G. in Another West Coast Feud

Notorious B.I.G. in Another West Coast FeudBiggie Smalls is smack in the middle of another heated battle in California -- but this time, the deceased rapper's wife, Faith Evans, is the one in the hot seat.

It's all over private home videos of Christopher Wallace -- videos that a company called Kaushi Entertainment wanted to use in a documentary.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court, Kaushi claims they struck a deal, approved by Faith Evans, in which they would fork over $30k for all of the movies.

Kaushi claims they paid up -- but Faith Evans, along with several associates, never handed over the goods.

Long story short -- Kaushi claims they got screwed and want more than $1,000,000 to make things right.

Calls to Faith's people have not been returned.
