226. I saw Harvey Levin on 'On the Record' with Greta van Susteren. He had mentioned that sources close to her said she has a bi-polar disorder which has not been properly managed with meds and counselling .

Her problems sound like what Patty Duke Austin who also has bi-polar disorder (which used to be known as 'manic-depressive disorder')

Patti authored two books, one her autobiography, Call Me Anna (ISBN 0-553-27205-5), and Brilliant Madness: Living with Manic Depressive Illness (0-553-56072-7))

Typically people who are not treated properly self-medicate because they realize, on some level, that their lives are spinning out of control.

Brit had a 'complete emotional and psychological meltdown': and it's going to be a very difficult climb up for her. The only good to come out of this is that now that she's hit rock bottom, the only way is 'up' for her. The other good to come out of this is that the boys have their father looking out for their safety, wellbeing and best interests. It's obvious no-one else is.

Best of luck to her, she's got a long and difficult road to recovery ahead of her.

Although i think that pebbles has a very valid point and no of us can really understand what's going on unless we are there, however i do think that Britney has herself to blame somewhat in this. I mean why wouldn''t she just turn up to court when i ordered over and over again. Kevin is at fault a lot of the time but a lot of this is Britney's doing.

239. I live in the same city as Ms. Spears, and all I here is how sorry everyone feels for her, and initially I did, too. However, she has demonstrated over & over again her elitist attitude: she listens to noone, including A JUDGE who has finally had enough, and thinks her celebrity status somehow gives her the right to act any way she pleases. It works for a while in this town, but Britney is so over the top that her insane behavior has made her the laughing stock in celebrity circles. You may hear them say they love her on camera, but what we say in private is a whole different story. Kevin may not be the greatest dad ever, but at least he has been smart enough to stay out of the limelight. So, the next time you hear a celebrity mouthing some "go, Britney!" nonsense, remember that this is the agreed upon stock answer--in reality, she is washed-up in this town, she knows it, and we are glad to see her gone.
