Don't Mess with Christopher Plummer! He Will Cut You!

Christopher Plummer did a radio promo tour for his new flick, "Man in the Chair" this morning -- but left "The Walton & Johnson Show" in Houston with nothing but a dial tone. The nerve!

We're also told he did this to several other stations. Note to entertainment reporters worldwide -- if Plummer sends you a screener, you bettah watch it!

17. Way to go Chris! What king of buster radio hosts was that? For christ sakes those DJs better thank God every morning they don't have a real job. If 99% of America looked that unprepared at work they would be fired! Sounds like Chris did the right thing and put those slackers in their place.

18. ......I guess they'll make time next time.....you don't tell Christopher Plummer before interviewing him about the next movie he's done that "you haven't seen it". I think the (female?) DJ set the tone and sounded flip about the whole interview. I'm sure if it was some canned singer they would've heard the tracks over and over again and had questions like:
What did you mean about.....???? Christopher Plummer is a patient man, and nice person, but I don't think anyone who's done something workwise and has it out there wants to partake in some kind of silly interview where the "DJ's" don't know squat about the conversation. He was smart to hang up because if they had been sent his DVD, didn't watch it, it was going to be a boring predictable interview. RIGHT ON CP!

I hope that "female DJ" wasn't really a gay man, because if it is a gay man, we have ONLY BEGUN to start on about silly, stupid queens on the radio....yes I DID GO THERE.

19. Way to go Mr. Plummer.

He is the greatest living actor today.

"The Man in the Chair" is a real tear jerker........he may get an Oscar nom.

I've been a fan of his for many years...........

20. I am a loyal listener of W&J. He was a guest promoting his new film. All they were asking him to do was to introduce his film. This is no different with any other form of entertainment. To think that everyone who goes on any late night show has their book read or movie viewed by the host is just completely off base. This was a promotional chance for Mr. Plummer, and he douched it up. For those who are wondering about the female dj, there are two guys. Walton is usually the lead in the conversation, and the other voices are done by Johnson. The voices are Mr. Kenneth, Billy Ed, and Mr. Eaux. Chris was in the wrong, it was his chance to promote his crappy career, they could care less about his lackluster accomplishments....along with most of their listeners.

21. OK, If you actually listen to the clip, it turns out the DJ is an IDIOT. I would hang up on him too. It's not like he needs the money; Hello! Captain Von Trapp here. I'd STILL do him.

maybe.

22. Haha...I thought that was great. Good for him. It was very unprofessional and disrespectful of them not to even know the name of the film or what it was about. How pitiful.

23. Christopher Plummer is a great actor! One that's hard to get on just any show, he's been through the rope's and if he has to tell these jerk's how to do an interveiw, that's something he shouldn't have to do! He's not stuck up, he's just not going to talk about nothing! It was sent to these two guy's and they don't even know the name? WTH?

Good for you Chistopher Plummer, good for you! I'll go see it!!
He's Awesome!

25. I heard the so called interview and what a dog. He called them not the other way round. If you want to push your product be prepared to describe it. I do not worship at any actors feet and do not like bending over for their needs. If you want groveling and adds for movies watch Letterman or Leno.

26. Hey Kiki #20,
You 'seem to really like apo'strophe's, but it i'sn't nece's'sary to one before every 's. It make's you look 'stupid.

27. Oh, Please! Walton and Johnson just don't like playing Hollywood games. They frequently lament the fact that most talkshows (Leno, Letterman. etc.) exist solely for stars to promote their latest product, and are little more than infomercials. Letterman used to be that way when he first got started - would ask the question he was told not to ask, refuse to kiss ass - that type of thing.

28. Christopher Plummer was in the wrong here guys. And no if he would have been a so called pop star or so called country artist calling it would not have guaranteed a listen by this group of jocks. They are a terrific group of guys that have a nash for telling the truth. They are not on the air in order to seek the approval of the main stream. Thank God!!!! Mr. Plummer is an actor but he does not have the caliber that he seems to think he does. Hopefully this morning he woke up and realized that he is not who he thought he was yesterday.

29. First, they were far too cavalier, which immediately sounded disrespectful, IMHO. Plummer is old school class.
Secondly, the high-voiced guy made odd inane comments describing his own faux description of Plummer's appearance as though Plummer were not even there.
Thirdly, the two DJ's (rudely) talked to eachother for far too long and rudely made their guest sit there in silence, waiting.
Lastly, the obvious lack of preparation. When they basically asked HIM in a far-too-flip tone to do their interview FOR them, even though Plummer's people or Plummer himself sent them the DVD in advance, and they idiotically pretended not to know, (who would be stupid enough to admit that) he obviously had enough.
Good lesson for these two insincere lightweights. Walk the talk, boys, or this is the result. Oh, and you REALLY have to be an idiot to piss off a Canadian.
I thought I liked Plummer. I definitely really do now.

30. Sory folks

He was there to promote his movie. He acted like an ass
Poor little Hollywood premadonna.
Maybe they did see his sorry little movie but were trying to give him a chance to talk about
it.

Have any of you ever listened to their show?

They are not the type to laugh at them selves.Nor do they kiss the ass of anyone who are stuck on themselves, like so many other morning shows do.

10%er for life!
