123. Property damage hit and run without injuries is a misdemeanor. Maximum penalty is 6 months jail and/or $1000 fine. She will get probation and a fine and be ordered to make restitution for the damage.

I can understand why she did not want to leave her contact info on the vehicle but I don't understand why she did not immediately notify the police. In fact, in California it is not enough to just leave contact info on the damaged vehicle. If the owner of the damaged vehicle is not present and cannot be immediately located, the driver causing the damage must leave contact info on the vehicle "and shall without unnecessary delay notify the police."

People like Britney, intolerant, shallow and self-absorbed, blame almost everyone but themselves for their problems. You can bet she is blaming the photos and TMZ for this trouble she is in. How sad and pathetic!

124. I dont like Britney anymore. She was once an innocent human being and now she is like ruined. I dont think the charges are bogus. I think the judge has a point. I mean If she doesnt have a license and is driving in that certain state and hits a car and goes off without putting a sorry note or wait or wait for the driver of that certain vehicle to come out, then britney has lost it all. At least have some common sense. Shes too worried about her own car.

127. Britney's employees seem to be letting her destroy herself. It is so much like Anna Nicole Smith. She has cut off her mom, can't stop doing drugs, and has 2 children. KFed is going to be in the same situation as Larry Birkhead soon if someone doesn't step in and convince Britney to straighten up. This fender bender should have been handled by her attorney and the car she scratched should have been repaired by Britney's reps within days of the incident. Her money is not helping her at all. The custody of her children should be 60% with Britney's parents, 20% with KFed and 10% with Britney and BOTH KFed and Britney should have to submit to drug testing and parenting classes.

132. All these posters saying poor, poor Britney-all the bulbs flashing around her....let's see, other well known people find ways to go out without being photographed all the time. She doesn't have to live in CA. She choses to. She doesn't have to go shopping and dining in the most photographed places-she choses to do this. She WANTS this publicity. She could have swam in the ocean without being seen had she chosen to do this, however, she chose to stip off her clothes and swim in underwear because she knew it would be photographed. Live a decent life and people won't follow your every move. Britney choses her moves knowing she will be photographed. She can chose to go elsewhere and live a quiter life but she doesn't WANT to do that. Quit blaming others for all her problems. She brings them upon herself. 133. She should have made some kind of attempt to contact the owner of the vehicle she hit. They have her on tape walking away. If she does not have a drivers license, that's her fault to. I don't think the damage is too bad but, she should've done the right thing. She won't get any jail time out ot a misdemeanor hit and run property only accident.
