Spector Murder Trial Goes to the Jury

Five months after it began, the murder trial of crazy-haired music legend Phil Spector ended Friday.

Spector was tried for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. The prosecution alleged that he murdered Clarkson in February 2003, just after she entered his Alhambra, Calif. mansion. The defense argued that Clarkson committed suicide, claiming that she was depressed and had planned to kill herself. Miss Clarkson, 40, died after being shot in the mouth.

The prosecutor alleged that Spector has a history of terrorizing women, and that on the night of Clarkson's death, he emerged from the home with a gun and said to his chauffeur, "I think I killed somebody." The defense countered that the chauffeur was mistaken and that there was no scientific evidence linking the gun to Phil.

Spector, 67, was charged with second-degree murder, and if convicted, faces 15 years to life in prison.

32. Phil will walk like any other la star, celebs have their own special treatment that the rest of us are never offered. i believe he did kill her but will not pay for the crime, and as for his young $wife$ shes probably wishing like hell that they put him away, how stupid could he be not to see through her? rest in peace Lana, Phil will be haunted by this for life, and then be judged by God there is some justice at the end for all even celebs

33. As the women indicated in their testimony, this pulling out a gun is part of Spector's way of power tripping. I don't think he meant to kill her but scare her. However as the prosecutor pointed out, when you intentionally produce a weapon and you kill someone with it (and there's no self-defense argument), acccident or not, it elevates from manslaughter to murder. Consequently he'll be found guilty and he'll die in jail.

36. After his Defenses Closing there is no doubt the Prosecutions Closing Arguments led by Jackson kicked thier ass all over that courtroom. She bumbled, read parts of it, had lumps in her throat and had no real argument at all.

Now I know why Bruce Cutler quit---he already knew this was another Case he would lose.

When found Guilty I can only hope for a Maximum Security level Prison sentence---the ones where he will be extorted, beaten, raped and possibly given a Jeffrey Dahmer, Father Geghan Bounty put on his weird ass.

This man has hurt so many along the way of life its time he got a dose of fear

40. I hope the jury will be smart and look at the evidence before them rather than Phil`s lawyers paying them off.
This man (if you can call this freak a man) deserves to rot in jail.

45. I hate this ugly, guilty bastard. The jury just has to look in his mean eyes. If he was innocent, he would have been up on the stand telling how she found the gun in his draw.took her purse, sat down and pulled the trigger with two painful wrists..YEA RIGHT
